Hello, I’ve recently bought the Fairphone 5 with the charger and the USB-C 3.2 Long Life Cable.
When I connect the cable to my phone, music keeps playing but without sound, which I think is because the cable gets recognized as headphones.
How can I fix this? Other cables work normally, it seems an issue with the FP cable.
Hi Karter,
I have the same problem with different cables and chargers/powerbanks. With my current cable its actually depending on the direction i plug the cable in. If the logo is turned upwards the cable is detected as wired headphones if i unplug the cable in plug it back in with the logo facing down its working. Have you tried that?
Hey, thanks for the reply.
I have tried the cable in different ways with different chargers. The funny thing is that I ordered two FP5 with 2 chargers and 2 cables, and my girlfriend’s cable works fine on both phones, whereas my cable has the issue mentioned above.
Is there a way to fix this or should I report the issue to Fairphone directly?
