Can't use fairbuds microphone with macbook

I have connected my fairbuds to my macbook pro to use in zoom calls, but the microphone of the buds is not showing up in the system audio input preferences. (macbook pro, m3, macos 14.5, fairbuds on latest firmware)

Anyone else having this issue?
I’ve also opened a support ticket about this.

Same on Windows 10/11 systems.
