Can't log in with google to non-google apps

Hi, I just got my Fairphone 6 and transferred over everything from my old pixel. Google apps work and I am logged in to e.g. the Store and Maps and Drive…

However, all the third party apps where I would usually log in with Google no longer work when pressing the “Continue with Google” button. Most fail without a message, but some indicate an error:

Here you can see that the travel app “Fairtiq” shows “You are not signed in to a Google account. Pleas sign in and try again.“ whenever I tap “Continue with Google”.

So far I have restarted the device several times, this does not help.

What could be wrong? How do I fix this?

Edit: This first occurred on QREL.15.122.0 but updating to the current version QREL.15.151.0 did not improve the issue :frowning:

So it never worked? and you did transfer a back-up from your Pixel? If yes, I guess that might be causing this and I would delete cache (and storage) of those Apps to “reset” those.

I transferred over everything from the pixel, yes.

No third party app managed to log in with Google on this new phone.

  • I have removed cache and storage but that did not help.
  • I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and that did not help.
