Unfortunately it’s still just the European market if you are buying directly through Fairphone’s Shop:
There are some resellers who do ship outside Europe though, most notably vireo.de (based in Germany) and clove.co.uk.

As you you can have sent a FP4 to Australia (Fairphones in Australia 🇦🇺 - #53 by Kelvin_Mui) I assume getting one in NZ should be possible, too.

I bought 2x Fairphone 4 (8/256) in March 2022 from Kickmobiles for myself and a colleague.
The shipping and then getting stung for GST/Duty was a bit nasty. But we considered that the ability to fix/replace bits was worth it in the longer term.
We have since bought a couple of common bits (screen & battery) as spares in case one of our phones has a problem.
