Hello,
I read that I can install /e/OS myself on a standard fairphone, but can I also install other OS when I order the /e/OS phone if I am not happy with it? I do not mean the standard one but for example CalyxOS?

ich habe gelesen, dass ich /e/OS selbst auf einem Standard-Fairphone installieren kann, aber kann ich auch ein anderes Betriebssystem installieren, wenn ich das /e/OS-Telefon bestelle, wenn ich damit nicht zufrieden bin? Ich meine nicht das Standard-OS, sondern zum Beispiel CalyxOS?

you should be able to, as there’s no difference in the hardware.

“If you are not able to update your Fairphone using our regular steps, or want to revert to Fairphone’s stock OS (Android) from an alternative operating system, you can install Android OS manually.” (emphasis by me).

The same as you can install Fairphone’s own OS instead of an alternative OS you can just install any other compatible alternative OS of your choice. Nothing blocks you.
