If you do a selfi in bright sun outside, all my pictures are strange …
Splitted into 2 small images with huge black screen.
This error / bug only happens, if there is much sun light
I tested this bug on 2 different FP5, which constant make the same error
→ software camera bug?
(Bei hohem Licht werden alle Selfies seltsam verändert, das passiert immer, getestet auf 2 verschiedenen e FP5. Unter normalen Licht passiert das nicht)
Yes, after loosing my FP4 with all pictures thanks to a cheap phone charger i decided to save all pictures on a SD-Card. If the SD card is the reason, why does all other pictures (not selfi-cam or not bright sunlight) not have this bug?
Well, it’s just a wild guess and might be something completely different. But it’s worth a try to first reproduce the bug (once the sun shines again tomorrow) and then change storage settings in the camera app to see if it makes a difference. And then, of course, you should contact Fairphone support.
How can I check, if the SD card is portable storage or intern storage?
If i need to select the SD card first, if I want to show someone picture, this would be a portable memory?
Go to the app Settings
Go to Storage
tap on ‘This device’
choose your SD card
tap in the right upper corner on the hamburgericon
if you see ‘eject’ then your SD card is portable
I’m not sure if this is valid for FP5, too, but at least for /e/OS FP4 you can now also use the stock (FP) camera app instead of OpenCamera. If available I’d recommend to use the stock camera one.
Thanks for your suggestion. As the Open Camera app is delivered as stock in Murena, how is the FP stock camera called and where could I get it?
My workaround now is to use Open Camera in generell and Secure Camera for selfies, because Secure camera does not work with the wide angel camera I still need both.
This is working for me - but of course it would be nice to have everything just in one application.
Yeah, no, this is not on my phone. As mentioned, the stock camera is Open Camera, there is no other. Question is if there is a possibility to get the APK anywhere?
Unfortunately you’re right and it has not yet been implemented for the FP5. Anyway I’d hope that feature/app to appear soon for the FP5 - now that it is available for the FP4 already…
No, there’s unfortunately no possibility to just put the APK on the phone. Some HW drivers for the camera in the OS will be needed, too.
