I’m thinking about getting a FP5, but I will probably wait until it is supported by CalyxOS. A camera that is at least solid is kinda important to me and the Camera and software in the FP5 seem to be pretty good. I don’t want to hate on FOSS camera apps, but it would be a shame if I couldn’t use the FP5 camera app on my device. Since the people who make the phone seem to be cool, is there a way to get the official FP5 camera app on F-Droid? If that is not wanted for some reason, could we at least be able to get it via Aurora Store and MicroG?
Also, as it has been mentioned in FP5 - Pictures Gallery, if you are okay with having some proprietary software on your device (you can restrict the internet access for it with CalyxOS’ firewall e.g.) a common solution for people is using GCam aka Google Camera (ports) as an unofficial, but working, camera alternative.
