CalyxOS Aurora Store Update issue on FP5

Hey, I have an odd issue since a month or two, with the FP5 of my partner.
Aurora Store doesn’t sync anymore (infinite spinning circle in the “Updates” screen) and so it does not load any updates.

Any hint or thread or issue I can check solve this?

Details if needed (let me know if you need more):

After some chatting in the CalyOS Matrix channel (not sure if it is a Calyx issue or Aurora) I tried mobile network instead of WLAN, but it did not help.

Then I just did the spoofing thingy (see second issue I linked in the last message) with the nighly version of Aurora Store (after clearing aurora data another time) and restarted the app (I spoofed a Pixel 9a, idk which device would be recommended when it is actually a FP5).
I logged in with the google account and refreshed in “Updates”. It surprisingly worked and a lot of updates popped up (had to confirm them one by one, as auto updates only work with the stable I guess).

Then I did more or less the same with stable and now stable works again as well.

Still strange that I have to spoof another device all the time now.

Not sure where to report that. Let me know if you have CalyxOS on an FP5 and a similar issue.

When I used to run it this was a constant issue. Just had to sign out and in again, clear caches etc.. Ultimately it’s why I went to Graphene on a Pixel phone (until I broke that).

Had this exact issue for quite a while on my FP5 running CalyxOS.
Trying to update most apps would fail, stating it “wasn’t available for my device.“
Changing my spoof settings to Pixel 9a solved this issue immediately, so thank you ^^

I use aurora store and f-droid on a FFOS A15 FP5 (no google account, no playstore) and no problem.

No spoofing.

So not a FP5 issue I guess.

No there is another issue - we will not be able to update CayxOS anymore (at least for 6 month)

Had the same issue on my CalyxOS FP5, tried the usual clean-ups (clear cache, clear data, reinstall), tried almost any Aurora setting-change, but did’t think of the spoofing option.

Finally, spoofing a Pixel 9a like you suggested fixed it also for me.
Thanks a lot for posting this here!
