Bose QuietComfort Ultra keeps disconnecting

I’ve been having issues with Bluetooth on this phone since I got it a couple of months ago. I see some really old posts about this stuff but nothing recent that relates to my issues. It keeps disconnecting from the car, which is troublesome, but not my biggest issue. I just got some Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones and they’re not actually disconnecting from bluetooth, but the audio player (any audio player) keeps stopping / pausing. If I want to resume the audio, I have to hit “play” either on the software or on the headphones, which works because they’re still connected.

Sometimes the pause is measured in seconds and other times hours.

The build number is FP6.QREL.15.122.0

I’ve tried factory resetting the headphones and re-pairing, disabling the qualcomm additions, rebooting the phone (a full power off and restart) and nothing seems to help.

Can anyone provide any help or suggestions?

My wife has the exact same issues on her device (currently FP6.QREL.15.151.0) both with her Bose and with our car since she’s got it. She’s about to claim the warranty.

Did you solve it by now?

I didn’t solve it but I haven’t had many problems in the last while. I don’t connect to my car anymore because it’s just too unreliable - but the car itself isn’t super reliable with Bluetooth so it’s hard to figure out what the ultimate cause is - and since I disconnected my Bose phones from my Mac (I was using dual connections with the fairphone) I haven’t had anymore problems there.
