Bluetooth problem with Jabra 8 Active and Jabra 8 Active (2nd Gen.)

Hey everyone,

I have a problem with the bluetooth connection between my Fairphone 6 and my headset and hope, that someone of you might experienced the same issue but has a solution for it

I tried to connect the Fairphone with the following Bluetooth-Headsets:

  • Jabra 8 Active
  • Jabra 8 Active (2nd. Gen.)
I used both Headsets with different devices in the past (Google Pixel 4a, Lenvo Thinkpad, hp pavillon Notebook) and had never problems with the connection and the sound.

When I try to connect them with the Fairphone at first everything goes as it should be, my headphones tell me they are connected. The moment I start to play audio (I tried different apps like Spotify, Youtube and a Radio app, Netflix) there is a fault, the headphone try to restart and to reconnect but no sound is played. This fault occures with both headphones 8 and 8 (2nd Gen).
I checked that all software (headphones and fairphone is on the lates version) and it is but the fault occures.
To understand if the source of this issue is the Fairphone or the Jabbra products I connected the Fairphone with the following devices:

  • different JBL-bluetooth speaker
  • Apple Airpods
  • Jabra 65e Bluetooth-Headset

With all those devices everything was fine, they played music and sound from different apps.

Does anyone of you had a similar experience with a bluetooth device and the Fairphone 6 or has a solution for this issue?

The official support stated, that this is the only issue with Jabra-Products they know so far and due lack of capacity, they prioritice other things before solving an issue, which only occures with one customer. I can truly understand this decission and hope someone of you can help me
