Battery health not shown

@DreasNil I think it woukd be bettere to ask in that forum (https://community.e.foundation/) but here I can answer that the battery charge limit is not on every device and /e/OS version (for what I known). I have it on FP4, A14, v. 3.0.4 (and since some version ago) in Settings/Battery/Charge control.

Thank you! I just found out that it indeed is not working for FP6 with /e/os

After restarting while attaching a protective case, the display also disappeared on my device.
Before that, it was there as usual.
Will it perhaps reappear after a system update?

It also disappeared for me. Phone case was never opened…

For me, this issue disappeared after removing the battery. After a factory reset, everything was back. Support has been informed.

From what I red on the protective case thread, I would say you forced so much on the phone that you fitted it to the case, not the opposite, and then managed to bind it enough to disconnect battery.

Hello everyone,
I’m hoping someone can help me with a frustrating issue. My phone recently crashed, and after restarting it, I noticed that the “battery cycle count” and “charge events” display is gone. I’ve looked through the settings, but I can’t find an option to re-enable it.
Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone know how to get this information back? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank u! I was blind.

Had the same experience. On Sunday morning, my phone just randomly shut down. I was able to eventually just start it back up (by keeping the on/off button pressed for some seconds).

It has been especially distressing since between the time it stopped working and the time I managed to turn it back on, believe it or not (I can hardly believe the timing myself) I needed to call emergency services and was unable to (luckily another person in our group had a working phone).

This is unacceptable and inexcusable - saving the planet is great, but if the price is possibly losing someone in a crisis because you can’t call for help then sign me up for a Pixel or Apple phone instead!

In any case, one less important aspect of that is that indeed now I can’t see the battery cycle count anymore.

EDIT: FWIW, I’ve noticed that after the crash and re-start, NFC was off as well (having previously been on).

After a shutdown of the phone for unknown reasons my battery health is suddenly gone too.

My Fairphone has crashed for the first time yesterday (why??).

I was trying to take selfie and touched a little bit on the screen to try to turn the brightness up and then it suddenly turned black and was off for maybe 15 to 30 seconds and then it restarted itself.

Later I found this thread in the forums and I checked my fairphone — and indeed my battery health and cycle count are gone!!

Reason why this could happen is still not clear i am afraid..
