I think the rim is not deformed. The back cover is just not put on properly.
Now the back covers for FP2 are in the shop.

Just a pity that people who order now can add a 2nd one to the same shipment but not those who already pre-ordered 
Anyway, this way I am going to wait until I need to order something else as well - especially since the shipping costs are 11 ā¬ for the back cover on its own as well even though this is no hazardous product at all and could be sent in a padded envelopeā¦
But probably this is ok since I truly do not think Iād really need another back cover - itās more that I also liked the blue matteā¦

Maybe you can find others, who would be willing to do a bulk order. 
I agree with you, itās really a pity and I wouldāve liked to order a second one as well directly. I guess itās one of the (smaller and more trivial) risks of preordering. Maybe this could be improved with future Fairphones, thoughā¦

You can just come along to Amsterdam and pick one up when visiting FP
Actually, did you ever ask support whether it is possible to extend your order by another FP2 back cover? That might not be so difficult!

Update: After only 40 minutes I already got an anwser
(awsome response time for the support!!):
Unfortunately it is not possible to mutate an existing and paid for order.
If you would like to have several items in one order, you can have us cancel and refund your existing order so you can place a new one including all the items.
This does mean that you shall have a later delivery time for this new order than the old, existing order.

The Community trip sounds very tempting and yeah I guess thatāll be the perfect moment to pick up a case (if Fairphone is prepared for direct sales). However, Iām actually quite often in Amsterdam, so Iām probably going to pass on coming with you guys.

So Iām relieved that the āregularā covers are still manufactured. In my eyes, they look better than the āslimā covers whose design I donāt like.
