Apps say “this device is not supported” after the latest update ( 14?), notably Copilot+ and Tidal (but possibly others). Anyone has the same problem?
Welcome to the Fairphone community.
But, we are talking about Fair- not iPhones here
Perhaps you mean /e/OS? Or Fairphone OS?
Actually I am not sure, I meant the latest update - something 14…
Hi @Abro
That probably will be:
is that right?
you can check it on your phone, Go to:
Setting → about device → scroll all the way down to Buildnumber.

Hi T4om, that is correct indeed, thanks
Yes those are the two that don’t want to cooperate anymore😬
Hi @Abro,
it will be annoying that the apps do not work on your phone.
I’m have the same software version and do use copilot. (i like to call it Microsoft office or M365 like it was before the name change).
for me no issues so i don’t expect it to be a software issue coming from Fairphone or Microsoft.
no experience with Tidal.
have you tried to uninstall the Microsoft Office app from the google play store → restart your phone → install the app again ?
greetings
Tom
Yeah thanks I tried that to no avail unfortunately…
Hi @Abro,
that will be ignoring.
To be sure, this should already be happened during the reinstalling of the app. maybe still some kind of error was left.
Go to the offece app but don’t open it, long press → app info → app storage → remove cache → remove app data → remove cache again if the button is not gray yet. → restart phone.
if that’s still not works it might be something in the Fairphone software wat was damaged during the installation of the update.
or maybe a bad app how was installed a short time ago?
i think its bit to early to already recemment a factory reset
have you already tried opening all apps on your phone. is it still only those two how have a problem?
greetings
Tom
On my FP5 with FPOS and the latest Android 14-update I can install and start both apps without any problems or error messages.
Thank you, that didn’t help. I tried all apps by now and I think those are the only two affected. For Tidal I can workaround with USB Audio Pro app.
