Keep us updated if you will. I also send in an ticket
Will do!![]()
For now I received a reply with steps to try to isolate the problem by going into safe mode among other steps. Nothing was effective so far.![]()
This is a huge issue, why did I make the decision to update before reading the forums.
I canāt get any cable Android Auto connection working.
Using the AAwireless Adapter, it connects but as soon as I press anything it crashes.
Even without using Android Auto, the battery is draining by the minute since Android 15.
Software plays a big role in making a phone reliable.
I have a fix that worked for me:
Deactivate the setting āforce desktop modeā within the developer mode.
I set it on for a remote dekstop test but somehow it ruins the android auto mode.
I canāt remember turning it on, but turning āForce Desktop Modeā off again does indeed seem to fix Android Auto resetting my FP5!
Thanks ![]()
Worked for me too, thanks!
This fix also works for me!
If you donāt have Developer Mode on, it also works if you just turn Desktop Mode to OFF in the Display settings (Settings | Display | Desktop Mode = OFF).
Thanks man, that āfixā worked for me too.
I have one more question: how exactly did you figure out that this setting is the problem?
Reddit post from me, wich got a reaction leading to this:

Same here, it mostly doesnāt reboot, until I start touching things.
It reboots everytime I try using voice commands by activating the assistant.
Not as consistently it reboots everytime I try switching from the google maps app to the spotify app.
Adding my āme tooā reply here. Including the high battery usage and heating up a lot.
Also opened a ticket but received no reply whatsoever, apart from the confirmation it was received.
Itās a shame, it used to work very well before the A15 upgrade.
Hi all,
We are currently investigating this. It seems indeed to be related to the āForce Desktop Modeā option on Android 15. For now you can follow the workaround suggested by Jan_vd_E: Go to: Settings > System > Developer options, and disable the Force desktop mode option.
Thanks for your input Jan!
