Can any of the Fairphone 5 users who already completed the upgrade to Android 14 test and report back if apps like LED Blinker still work – despite the removal of AoD from the Settings?

I also miss that part - looks like this is Pixel only… :sleepy:

Perhaps it was always there but isn’t:
Settings > Wallpaper and style > Lock screen tab at top > Clock colour and size

new?

EDIR: Sorry mesnt to reply to alazer

This will give you an idea of what i mean exactly: https://youtube.com/shorts/ITTAlKHL_VA it’s really missing this kind of feature.

Can anybody with A14 on FP5 give a short answer to my question, please?

I dont use any of it. To my understanding there was no change yet to the current “set up”, so I would expect its the same as with A13

Thank you. I don’t use it too, but I expected that this issue should be fixed.
So I stay at lawnchair-launcher and smartspacer, If I ever get A14 one my FP5.

I still don’t have the update. I’m on T-Mobile in Germany.
Greetings Martin

Same here. T-Mobile Germany and no update so far. Same procedure as every update.

Why does the update depend on the provider you use? I switched to Odido (Dutch T-Mobile) and that seems to delay the update too, compared to my previous provider (KPN). And isn’t it possible to just download the update file and do a local update?

Not when your bootloader is locked.

But that’s easily unlocked and relocked.

And all data wiped so …

In the past this was explained by FP in all update topics

Please note:

Together with our partners, we test the software before its release, and in some instances where a software update might result in some problems for users on a specific network or in a specific country, we prefer to delay the software release for that specific customer base and fix all the potential issues before making the software available to everyone.

That means that depending on your network provider, some Fairphone users may receive this update later. Once the update is available, you’ll receive a push notification to update automatically
