How do you do it? Some apps added the icon themselves but I can’t find how to do it myself…

How to do it:
1 Swipe from side to middle, release on “all apps” icon.
2 Click and hold on the app/widget you want to add.
3 Release on the screen/place you want it to be.

Well, the fairphone has a sensibly different OS and it doesn’t work just like in that video.
But my second post explains one of the way to do it.
