Accuracy of picture location in FP6 with /e/OS

When using ObsIdentify with my FP6 with /e/OS, I regularly (but not always) get the message that the location of the picture I took is not accurate enough to upload the observation to the platform.

Any ideas about how to solve this

What are your privacy settings? I’m sure with e/OS there are settings to hide etc. location accuracy.

There are two camera’s that I use. Both have access to my location when they are in use.

I don’t see a privacy option about location accuracy that I could switch on or off.

Did you check ‘advanced privacy settings’?
But anyway, I guess the e/OS community can support you more detailed.

Yes, I checked it. It says I use the real/true location for ObsIdentify.

You need to check Micro G too, and there are many more settings in e/os, as it can try to hide your true position on purpose.

I gave microG-diensten (=microG-services) “always allowed” access to my location, and

“access when used” to the following apps:

  • ObsIdentify
  • microG Companion
  • both camera apps
(I don’t have the option to give these apps “always allowed” access.

What more can I do?
