5G supported but icon not showing up

Hello,
I contacted my phone provider because I have a 5g subscription but my Fairphone 4 could never connect to 5G.
They check the connectivity at my location and said I should receive it but after checking my phone model they told me that it’s a bug on Fairphone side; 5G is supported but the icon is not properly showing up. Here is their internal note screenshot:

Any other user with that experience ? How can I check that I am actually receiving 5G signal?

Try this: Settings → About Phone → SIM Status (slot nr.) → Mobile (voice|data) network type. In my case it reads “4G” or “LTE” respectively for both as expected.

Hi, I have 4G in both of these, what does that mean? That the SIM is reporting a 5G connection as a 4G because of the age f the SIM? Or that it never gets on to 5G?
