I noticed the 5g connection gets enabled again automatically. It is the second time y go to the sim settings and change from 5g/4g/3g to 4g/3g as 5g is not worth it in speed and increases drain for me.
Is it a known bug? (could not find it in the forum) Shall I contact support?
I’m running stock android with latest software update.
Is it a FP5 or FP6 we are talking about, as you tagged FP6 but opened the thread in the FP5 section?
I marked it as a fp6 post. OP had issues before with his fp6 só this is probably about the same phone.
Fairphone 6, yes. Sorry for the confusion. I must have mixed when creating.
This is probably normal behaviour. The FP5 has also been doing this since the update to Android 15.
I did not see this behavior on my FP6. I’m not using 5g and the setting remains the same.
What happens after a restart? After a restart, 5G is reactivated every time and has to be switched off manually again. I have not yet found a pattern for why 5G switches itself on in between. (FP5)
Just restarted it. Setting still using 4G, did not switch to 5G.
However I noticed the setting was changed to 5G last time I restarted after having installed the Android update.
Same here. Last update brought it on again.
By any chance this had happened after updating to a newer system software?
