Yearly repeating events in calendar

Hi everybody, do you know how I can enter an event in the calendar that is repeating every year, such as birthdays in the degoogeled version by Murena? I found the button for repetition, but it only gives the option for a weekly repetition, not yearly.
Thanks so much for your help!

Welcome to the community forum.

Sure you can repeat yearly using the app “Calendar” (foundation.e.calendar, I’m looking at version 11)

  • Create a new event.
  • Type a name.
  • Choose the first date and the time (or enable “All day”).
  • For repetition, tap where you see the default value “One-time event”: a dialogue opens.
  • Enable repetition (slider top right).
Then open the drop-down list of repetition schedules and choose “Repeat yearly” instead of “Repeat weekly”.

Although @OldRoutard has already explained it perfectly, a picture might even help further.
The top line is not only an information but it is the drop down menu itself to change to yearly. Maybe you’ve missed that:
