With the launch of the Fairphone 6, I think this is the perfect time to revisit the question: Is the Fairphone 6 vegan? And if not, could Fairphone take the next step and pursue vegan certification for the Fairphone 7?
Fairphone has already set impressive industry standards with a commitment to ethical sourcing, sustainability, and transparency. But as more people look to minimize their impact on other animals as well as humans and the environment, the demand both ethical and vegan products is only growing.
I realize that making a 100% vegan phone is a complex challenge as animal-derived ingredients can be hidden in glues, dyes, and supply chains, but if any company can tackle this, it’s Fairphone.
Could Fairphone commit to mapping out the animal-derived components in current and future models, and work towards eliminating them? Would you consider seeking third-party vegan certification for the Fairphone 7? This would be a groundbreaking step, aligning perfectly with your values and giving conscious consumers another powerful reason to choose Fairphone.
