Which cable headset is known to work with an FP4?

Hi guys,

I need to purchase a simple headset for my mother’s new FP4. It should be wired and not in-ear. Similar to Apple’s Earpods with USB-C connector, but fully compatible with an FP4. Other than that, it doesn’t have to be anything special.

I know that headsets tend to cause compatibility problems, so I thought, before buying anything I’ll ask the community, possibly there is somebody already owning this kind of headset and can confirm it to be working with an FP4!

I’m not sure what doesn’t work, but I’ve the Fairphone USB C connector and I’ve had no problems with anything I’ve plugged into my FP4. I’ve currently a pair of Sony in-ear headphones with mic I use when out walking and JVC headphones with in-line mic for indoors. Neither were very expensive - the in-ear pair were under £20 - so maybe get the ‘official’ USB C connector then buy what you like?

What exactly do you mean by “USB C connector”, possibly a USB C to audio adapter?

Yes I meant the adaptor :grin: I’ve had no issues using it with any headphones since I got the FP4 two years ago.
