Where to buy parts instead of fp

Phones are essential and having to wait for parts is a no go. Is there any UK supplier? I don’t trust the Fairphone shop

If your daily driver phone is this essential, it should be the safer option to have a backup phone ready to bridge some downtime instead of relying on any availability or any quick shipping of any parts.

You can check where to buy on the FP site. Recently I noticed UK sellers added there.
However they do not show once I narrow the search to spare parts. Perhaps you could contact them directly?

They import from Europe, which adds an extra opportunity for items to get lost, which is what has just happened to me.
Wouldn’t it be sensible of Fp to have someone over here who has a small stock of everything? Then they would actually be international… it’s logical to me!

I haven’t checked, but the list of resellers updated by volunteers of this community might point into the right direction.

And as I could imagine that over time the motivation to update old topics goes down, you might want to check the topic for the FP6, too, even if you’re looking for FP4 parts, as that might be more up to date.

So I’ve checked the list: there’s only one in UK and it only has 3 spare parts…

Thanks @Meaghan for pointing out the (rather clumsy) feature of the Fairphone site. It looks to me that (certain) Sky Mobile shops in the UK are stocking the FP6 (and I’d guess the FP6+ on the basis that the website update lags a bit!) but probably not any spare parts. You’d have to visit an actual shop and speak to a real person to confirm that.
