WhatsApp - keyboard keeps disappearing

I seem to have developed an issue over the past few days, whereby the keyboard will repeatedly disappear while I’m trying to write messages in WhatsApp.

It seems almost exclusively to happen in WhatsApp rather than any other app. Anyone else experiencing this?

My FP 5 has generally been rock solid since I bought it in January, but it feels a bit less stable since the last update.

Could you indicate

  • the current build number (Settings > About phone > Build number)
  • which keyboard you’re using

I have experienced the same issue for a couple of days a few months ago, exclusively in Whatsapp. It has dissapeared without any intervention, and hasn’t reappeared since :crossed_fingers:

I have had this issue for most the lifetime of my Fairphone 5. It happens in all apps, not just Whatsapp and severely impacts usability.

I don’t use WhatsApp, but never have this problem on my FP5 with A13/A14 (using stock GBoard keyboard)

There should be an update available to you, though these sometimes get delayed for some network operators.
