Weak battery / no loading of pictures in Signal

Hi, since I try to use my first Fairphone (Fairphone 1) a bit longer, I am asking wether there is a chance to get a new battery, mine is getting very low during night, so even if I turn it off, the battery is nearly exhausted the next morning - its no longer reliable…

When using Whatsapp I have no problems sending and receiving pictures - but on Signal I am not able to receive pictures any more, its loading and loading and loading. Any ideas on that topic?
