I recently got my hands on a Fairphone 4. The electronics and the motherboard inside are fully functional and working perfectly, but unfortunately, the aluminum mid-frame/chassis is badly bent and the screen is broken.
Since Fairphone doesn’t sell the core module/chassis separately to consumers, I’m looking to buy a donor phone or just the frame.
I am looking for either:
-A broken/bricked Fairphone 4 (e.g., with a dead motherboard) that has a straight, undamaged frame in good or like-new condition
A spare mid-frame/chassis if anyone happens to have one lying around from a teardown, as long as it’s structurally sound and not bent.
I live in Finland and will gladly cover the part and shipping costs via PayPal. Please let me know if you have anything that could help me revive this phone!
I actually checked that price list, but unfortunately, the 150€ estimate is a bit too low for my case. Since both my screen and mid-frame are damaged, just the parts alone would cost around 200€ (Display is ~115€ and Midframe is ~86€). On top of that, Fairphone’s official service center would charge for labor and shipping, so the total bill would easily crawl up to 250–300€.
Since my motherboard is fully functional, it’s much cheaper for me to just find a donor phone or a spare frame and do the swap myself.
Yes, I only calculated the mid frame, the repair and delivery costs (Norway is pretty expensive in that regard!).
I did not mention the display cause you didn’t search for it (even if/after mentioned that it is broken) so I kinda assumed you either have it covered elsewhere or are planning to buy a new one.
Edited to say that it might be bit difficult to find a broken FP4 as the device was released five years ago and for many it will be still within warranty.

In the Polish version of the shop the display is like 80 euro, do you have so much different prices in Norway?
actually live in Finland, not in Norway. It’s a bit frustrating that the mid-frame isn’t sold separately, especially since the motherboard would be so easy to remove. The screen is still functional even though it’s cracked, so that’s not an essential part for me right now.
