Voice "conversation" Translate app

For years, I’ve used Amazon’s “SayHi Translate” for voice translations, and Google’s Translate for written translations; that mix seems to work best for me. (Visual translation of images has not been too important.) SayHi’s voice translations don’t require much faffing around to hold a conversion, and it does not share data with Google. Both are free and do not include ads or other distractions, they both essentially do what they claim to do.

Sadly, SayHi Translate has been discontinued (without any known-to-me warning🙁), even the servers / website are dead. I am not the only one upset by this, as per the Reddit thread Why is sayhi being discontinued.

Hence, I am searching for a reasonable voice translation app with sensible privacy policies. There are a number of apps on Google Playstore, and a very small number on F-Droid. My requirements are, at the moment, very fluid, except for good privacy, transcription (that I can copy-paste), and (ideally) some (on-device) history. The two critical languages are Français (French) and English (Anglais).

Any suggestions or experiences (both ✓Good and ✗Bad)? (Up-to-date FP3 (Android 13).)
Thanks!

I don’t know of any application that does exactly what you are looking for, but I can recommend (in case you don’t know it) an open source app to transform voice into text that respects your privacy (it works offline): FUTO Voice. You can find more information and an example of how to use it in this video:

I know it’s not exactly what you’re looking for, but maybe it can help you temporarily to transform voice into text and then use a translator app to translate the text.

I hope you have luck in your search.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will be looking into this further.

My apologies for the slow response, other matters and so on…
