Use Smart Card in SIM slot

Hi there,
I suppose only a developer can answer my question, so I hope, I chose the correct category.

I want to use a smart card as OpenPGP card for encryped e-mails. Is it possible to place this smart card in the second SIM slot? Is there any service like PCSCD running on the Fairphone 2? Or do I have to use a OSB-OTG adapter?

I’m using YubiKeys together with USB-OTG and this works, yes (they also support OpenPGP).
