Upgraded camera 48MB module, but still says 12MB

Hi there,

I’ve just bought an upgraded camera module for my Fairphone 3, that was 12MB in the camera settings and I bought the 48MB to upgrade.

But now when I’ve successfully connected up the module the camera settings still just say it’s 12MB (in the picture size).

Do I need to do something else to install or activate the 48MB settings?

Hey, this is normal. The camera+ module has an 48 MP sensor, but generates a 12 MB output. See here for a discussion in length:

This happens every week, why hasn’t the community demanded Fairphone fix their false marketing?

Every week? Maybe some years ago, when this module was released. And false marketing? Just read the description:
