Sorry but for what part of that solution would I need another phone? I tried having only the giffgaff SIM in, but I still can’t choose the 2G option. I also tried to set a new access point name but it didn’t seem to do anything.
That is why I think that 4G might be preferred by the SIM card itself, and the FP2 probably does not offer 2G because of that. But it seems that you can force 2G for this card when selected on another phone. (If you have an old unlocked feature phone with a SIM card slot that fits to your card, you should be able to do this, too.)

I see, that could be. Unfortunately don’t think I have an older phone on hand, but I’ll have to look around.
