Unable to open images sent by iPad

My mom shared a few photos on her iPad via Bluetooth. and two of them are unable to open. I plugged the FP2 to PC and browse the image folder. The two images are in .heic extension. How can I view it on PC or FP2?

For a Windows 10 PC, get the free HEIF extension from the Microsoft Store https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9PMMSR1CGPWG

For your FP2, this thread https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-open-heic-images-on-Android might contain some helpful links.

Good luck!

Ok, so to sort things a little …
This all means that on Windows 10 .heif files can be viewed for free with the HEIF Image Extensions, but .heic files would need the HEVC Video Extensions you have to pay a small amount for.

There is a free version of the HEVC Video Extensions, too, meant to be preinstalled by device manufacturers, but you can install it yourself nonetheless …
