My principal means for system backup and recovery on my FP2 was fastboot with a TWRP image (since I do not have a google account, and don’t plan to have one). It saved me from data loss once or twice.
Is TWRP or something similar (an offline system backup solution) available for the FP3?
It may be off-topic because it’s not a recovery system, but there is work being done on a Free (as in Google-Free and Free Software) backup system for Android Distributions. I really hope this succeeds and delivers a better user experience than TWRP-backups.
Regarding TWRP: Are represantatives of FP (the company) here that could answer if there is work being done? But I don’t assume it’s a priority at the moment.
