The phone no longer turns on after being discharged and then in charge. It just displays for a few seconds the icon of Fairphone, and turns off/on with a sound, as like it tried to turn on.
I purchased it only 3 months ago.
Many thanks for your help.
Hi and welcome to the community forum.
Do you mean the phone was completely discharged? In that case youâll need to leave it to charge for quite a long time (give it a day if necessary).
If that doesnât help, then I think you would be well advised to contact official Fairphone support, as this sort of problem is likely covered by the warranty.
Thanks! Yes, but the phone is stuck in the loop when in charge (turn on/ turn off) and the button to turn it off doesnât help. So it cannot charge properly.
The support is closed in the afternoon and on Wed so Iâm helpless for 2 days, with a âdeadâ phone!
What kind of charger do you use? Did you try one with more power?
Yes, I tried 3 chargers, including a fast one.
i had the same with my samsung tab s3. it was a bad battery. it didnt take the charge so the phone got into a loop like yours.
Maybe write support and ask if you can get a new battery under the warranty.
That doesnât relay mean anything. A fast charger for a Huawei doesnât do anything fast with other phones.
This is the charger used for my Fairphone the other days. Itâs a samsung charger. The phone was also tested with 2 other chargers including in a phone shop.
