Tap to wake screen Fairphone 4

Is it possible to wake the screen up without pushing the power button on the Fairphone 4? Thanks.

Hello, I just got my new Fairphone 4 and I found that it doesn’t have a “lift to wake” feature. “lift to wake” means that the lock screen (with the clock, latest notifications and so on) is shown when the phone is switched off and you are lifting it. I really like that feature, so did I overlook something? Thank you, Jan

If you mean a light touch to the screen, then no. The screen is not an OLED and so is not ‘on’ all the time to respond to touches and taps.

Do you mean maybe tap the phone to vibrate it rather than a screen response

Thanks this is the sort of thing I want as I just want to check the time or podcast I am playing easily so I will check out the apps mentioned in the other thread.
