Is there a way to quickly switch the default SIM in the caller app and SMS app like in the FP1?
In the FP1 you pull down the top menu and there you can quickly change SIM.
Perhaps the option ‘Ask every time’ works for you.
Go to Settings, SIM cards, Calls

I know of the setting, and are using it for now.
Still think the handling of 2 SIM cards were much better in FP1.

Don’t have a FP2, but briefly looked at the manual. One should be able to set up two profiles, assign the SIM cards as defaults accordingly, and quickly change the profile. According to the manual, at least… 
Maybe you can provide a link to the manual an at which page you found it (or screenshot?).
