I’m interested in the difference between the speakers. Which speakers are better, the FP5 or the FP6?
I have tested both devices with Youtube. I couldn’t hear any real difference. But that’s just subjective. For me, both are good.

From the specs I would suggest that there will be some improvements. The thing is that opinions about speakers or sound differ a lot and depending on personal experience/expectations or how it’s used…
Phone speakers will never provide great sounds because sound needs room. But there isn’t any in a phone. Its the same with smart TVs that have dozens of sound settings.

True, but there is a big difference between phones. My old Pixel 3 still blasts my Fairphone 5 out of the room. Not in the sense of volume, but in the sense of quality. It has much better highs and lows and the sound quality is more full.
The Fairphone 5 is indeed okay, but the quality is flat. It’s okay for a next gen Fairphone as well, but I was hoping for more.

I just tested the FP6 speaker and compared to the FP5 it’s a downgrade. It’s more flat than the FP5.
Edit: just did Duolingo and the quality of the speaker is very noticeable of lower quality.
And if you don’t believe your ears, block the bottom speaker with your thumb. On the FP5 sound wants to break free. On the FP6 you feel nothing, really nothing. I hope the people that wanted a cheaper phone are happy
