Some apps using microphone seem not to be able to do so

I just did, both microphones won’t work on the myFairphone app. They work, though, when I record a video in my camera app, so it seems not to be a hardware issue.

@nereocystis Hi Kevin, I have Android 13, Security update 5 March 2024, a huge long Kernel version, Build number FP5.TT4C.A.154.20240320, if that helps. I’ll try to add a screenshot.

I have the same issue. It is not resolved for mi. I cannot practice speech in Duolinguo. I tried updating the phone uninstalling and reinstalling the app. sill not working. in busuu inside the lessons it doesn’t work either but at in end of them in practice yes it does. I really don’t understand. Is there any solution?

Microphone not recognized by apps -Duolingo first

I had the same issue on CalyxOS and finally managed to get it working a few days ago. Duolingo uses Google’s TTS service for speech recognition, haven’t been able to get it to detect anything else. You need to reboot the phone after installing it and manually give the Google TTS app microphone permissions because it doesn’t ask for them (I was missing that part). Of course running Google speech recognition isn’t ideal so I have all that stuff relegated to the work profile and just turn that o…
