[SOLVED] Looking for a FP2 bottom module to buy

Hi out there

Via diagnostics, i found out that my bottom module dosen’t work for my Fairphone 2.

It seems that the refurbished replacement parts isn’t avalible at the FP store anymore.
So I would like to ask the community, if one of you still have a spare part bottom module for Fairphone 2? In that case, I would like to buy it.

I would also like to pay for shipping to Denmark.

I wonder what is wrong. The common failures seem to be the a) the mic and b) the charging port.

Given the rarity of spare bottom modules you may want to consider a repair. There are a number of topics that help a DIY or maybe use the info to enquire if a friend or a repsir shop can help.

Howto repair the microphone inside the bottom module

As fairphone angel (in Berlin) I have a lot of support cases with nonfunctional microphones in the bottom modul. A lot of users have minimum the 2nd, often the 3rd bottom module. Mostly easily changed by Fairphone support in warranty. But there is a lot of waste (I collect old faulty modules and send them back for recycling). FP2 Bottom Module: Repair broken µUSB port and or mic

@JohnHughes (thanks again) send me two broken bottom Modules some days ago. This one has a defekt µUSB port. After disassembling I took a picture with a microscope camera and found some solder cracks. Barely to see without magnification. Two cracks at the shield contacts that I am not too worry about, but also one at contact 5. I am sure that was a slack joint. Some serious force must be acted to the Port. I will try to resolder the joints and hope the bottom module will be able to do its work…
