Coming from VT2F (SPL October 2025), the download size is 342MB.

The December update was still not available for me at 17:30 today (Deutsche Telekom network), now I just got offered today’s update

Update was pretty smooth. I managed to update the Google Play system as well (the phone asked for the restart but still the date has not changed - 1/11/2025) and afterwards was a bit laggy for a few seconds.

Why is it so that reboots do not close my apps?

October update was not available up to now, this one was installed immediately. Hope, the future updates will do the same.

Sadly, background process problem still is not fixed.

WiFi calling didn’t work after the update.
It worked again after turning it off and on again.

Noticed a small issue. Where the top bar displays the date, now instead of “Jan” it says “M01”. Personally I find this pretty funny but I’d love to know if anyone else has noticed. I’m in the UK.

Yes, it happens sometimes since July 2025

Sad to see that still happening, I have reported this with another bug (network operator name not hideable, solved) because I thought it was related (same position)

Also it’s difficult to reproduce in a controlled way

Thanks. I changed the system language to US English and then back to UK English and now it says Jan again. Phew

Please fix that apps don’t close the moment you dont have them open

I’m not sure if it related to the update or coincidence: For a few days now, often when trying to unlock via unlock button, I accidently open the camera (like with a long-press double-press). It feels like the amount of time that is long enough the sensitivity for a double-tab to open the camera instead of waking up the phone got a lot shorter snappier. Anyone else with the same observation? Or rather my phone falling apart?

Happens at least 3, 4 times a day now while it barely ever did so before last week

Edited to correct from long-press to double-press, thanks @mde

I have no specific FP5 experience, but in all cases I encountered so far, it is a double-press rather than a long-press that opens the camera. Is it possible that you double-press by accident when touching the sensor?

True that! My bad. Then the phone must recognize a double-press instead of a regular press for a week now when trying to click it only once. I don’t think I click it any different than the 1,5 years before where I did not encounter it

Sill not available in France on the Bouygues Telecom network, and the previous update is still not available at all, while the previous ones were offered very quickly.

Is there any simple way to bypass the provider block?

Thanks. I haven’t this bug so far, but now it appears.

As I just said on the December update thread, I finally was offered the February update yesterday evening, right after I switched my launcher back to Quickstep (it may be unrelated, I don’t know).
