Smooth update, and adaptive brightness seems to be improved and memorizing personal preferences better.
Thanks, Fairphone, as this was one of the more annoying bugs. Now, repairing AoD with one of the next updates would be great!

I manually checked for the update. And yes, available. Update went smoothly (Youfone on network Kpn in NL).
Adaptive brightness is still broken, unless you turn off DC Dimming. Brightness starts very low, which makes it unreadable in bright sunlight, it takes too long for the brightness to go up.
Not available here yet (FP5 that has never seen a SIM). I guess it will become sooner or later.
not sure that would address what you describe
Happy to see the new update. I will be testing to see if adaptive brightness is improved. Before that when browsing in a dark room it was constantly jumping around.
Is there a download for manual installation available yet? When referencing the below download page the most recent available download is from last month.

Judging by the fixes being released alongside the monthly security update until now I don’t think that’s going to happen before the big Android 14 update in summer
… which should be “one of the next updates” as it’s May already.

A post was merged into an existing topic: FP5 brightness randomly reduces
Never mind to my download link question. I realized the links have specific formatting and that the download for the newest version is available, they just haven’t updated the help page yet.
The link if anyone else needs it:

It does, right? You just don’t notice it in low light conditions, because then it happens to be sensible to have a low brightness.
Dont agree, the low light issue was a different one and def. noticable.
Either way I would aprreciate we dont start a brightness discussion here and instead update the available topics

The auto brightness changing rapidly in dark rooms without any sense. Didn’t experience any of that before the update (FP5.TT3L.A.106.20230918).
Deactivating Auto brightness is a workaround.

After this update, my SIM card goes off after a while, it’s like I don’t have have a second SIM anymore. Anyone having the same issue?
On 21st of May, not available via Vodafone Germany - any fixes for that?
Thank You so much,
best,
Steffen

A week on, the FP5 I have here (which has no SIM inside at all) still doesn’t get this update either.
