Delays are normal within the first few days/weeks, to give time for testing in specific conditions. I’m confident the update will arrive for Odido in the coming days
If you notice a lack of updates for months, please let us know, and we are happy to look into it further.
One of the last updates I took out the SIM card (HoT Austria) and the update was received. As an alternative way downloading the update from the fair phone site with a computer is possible. Maybe the admins will be so nice (like Francesco the last time, thank you), to put the update to the support site and link it here.
But I agree, these workarounds are a little bit annyoing.
It’s strange that only errors are eliminated that you didn’t even notice. Unfortunately, the known bugs have not been eliminated, such as the display accidentally getting dark and the like. But we can wait;-)
After using it for a couple of days I think I found a fixed but unlisted bug.
Sometimes I had the issue that a touch on a tile button (e.g. torch on/off) didn’t change the state of the button nor the lamp. Since this update I never faced that issue.
I wonder if I’m the only person still using the default launcher, but completely ignoring the first page. Moved all the apps to the second page which has also became my default one.
You are not the only one. I did that on my xperia 5 (the 5) that i installed pe+ 12 and it used the pixel launcher. I could not remove the search bar here so i just moved to the second page.
But as much as I’m happy with the Nova launcher I’m using now, I still would like to use the default one (if nothing else then to reduce the number of apps installed). I don’t get why Google can’t just make a setting to turn off that stupid search bar? Yes, I know I can remove it with a little tweaking but the space can’t be used for anything else so I don’t count that as a proper “removal”.
I apologize for the late reply, I have been a bit busy lately.
However, there was no issue, it just took a little longer than usual to complete the testing for that network but it should be already being served as usual from yesterday also the Telekom users
We did not communicate it because we did not receive a report of fault, it was just taking slightly more than usual for the testing to be completed.
Not sure if it’s because of the latest update. But the camera crashes very often now, brightness dims when opening the camera and photos are sometimes not saved. Some of these issues are already know. But they got noticable worse since I got this update. Anyone else?
Edit: this is going to make summer pictures “great” :') It seems to happen less often when not using the double press on the power button (camera shortcut).
I just wanted to tell about 2 bugs that appeared after I updated my Fairphone 5 to Build FP5.TT4C.A.154.20240320.
Dimmed Display
After unlocking my device, the display is dimmed very low. I have to adjust the Screen Brightness every time I unlock my device.
Cannot hear other person in calls (in some apps)
When calling someone I hear the free sign (beep beep etc.), but after the other person is answering my call, I cannot hear anything anymore. They can hear what I say.
This Problem only occurs on some Phone-Apps like Google Phone or Koler. In the App of “Simple Mobile Tools” the bug does not appear.
