Besides the usual problem with having to re-root my FP4 (like with every single OS update in the past) that update worked well. Thanks for delivering the sec fixes

No update offered here, provider Deutsche Telekom.

Thank you!

(And thank you for releasing the Security patch on time (duly noted!)… )

hello, could it be a hardware issue with a mic? I recall there are different mics used for calls versus recording

Installed update without problems. Had to enable/disable “Don’t disturb” (“Bitte nicht stören” in german) once to make volume switches work again.

Installed the update yesterday, everything seems to work fine today.

Provider: Vodaphone Germany.

After installing update, Microsoft Teams and Outlook were not working for me. See Microsoft Apps not working since latest FP4 version update . Strangely, only after uninstalling BOTH apps and then reinstalling, they seem to be working. (Uninstalling one only and reinstalling was still producing the same result.)

Microsoft … always great.

If you still encounter issues, please report to our customer support team.

Regarding software update processes, you can also find more information here and here.

Thanks,

Sarah

Could anybody please say what the vendor patch level of this release is (not the security patch level)?

Where is this visible? I only know this from custom ROM so far?

It should be given in the same place as the security patch level. I’m not aware that there would be a difference in Android flavours regarding this (emphasis on me not being aware).

As said havent ever seen this on FPOS only know this from screenshots from custom ROM and my understanding was this is somehow important for bootloader locking? (Edit: so isnt it actually the vendor SPL🤔?)

It looks the same on the FP4 and FP5 with FPOS

Interesting, thanks.

Laut ChatGPT soll man es damit anzeigen lassen können, habe gerade keinen Rechner zur Hand, aber vielleicht jmd anderes

Why ever I turned to german… So for completness: with the following it should be possible to see the vendor patch level

adb shell getprop ro.vendor.build.security_patch

Thank you.

Let’s hope this will allow Fairphone to release security patches faster.
