Hi . fyi ā¦ When I follow the More Info link, the info has not been updated. The most recent info is for the June update.
Thank you! Available for update now on my phone. Screenshot of the information provided:
Thatās true. This is the link, still outdated: https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048139032-Fairphone-3-OS-Release-Notes
Edit: everything went and still goes perfectly on my phone after three days with the update installed.
Update has broken āMy Fairphoneā .
Annoying, but not really an issue for me as everything else is OK.
Release notes are up now.
Fairphone OS version 030.0
Release date: 26th August 2024
Android version: 13
Software Version: 6.A.030.0
Security Patch Level: 5th August 2024Changes
- Updated security patch level
- Update MyFairphone to version 3.3.7
āMyFairphoneā: fixed with the latest update to version 3.4.8
I have detected a problem on my FP3 after this update:
When I use the open app switch menu (the one shown in the screenshot, I access it by pressing button 3 indicated in the screenshot.) the button to return to āhomeā (number 2 in the screenshot) doesnāt work. Iām pretty sure that before the update, pressing the middle button (button 2) in the app switching window closed that and the phone went back to the home screen. Now I have to choose one of the āopenedā apps, wait for it to open completely and then press button 2 to be able to return to the home screen.
Iām not sure if this bug is related to the update, but it seems most likely. Can anyone who has upgraded to this version confirm if they can replicate this behaviour?
Thank you.
ā
EDIT: Itās not the updateās fault: I have rebooted the phone and everything ir working as before again .
Hi,
Upon my FP3 there is no change in behaviour when pressing middle button (2 in your illustration) upon 6.A.030.0 to return to home screen.
I just tried rebooting the phone (I hadnāt done it for days or weeks) and it works as it did before .
False alarm: it wasnāt a bug in the update, sorry. And thank you very much for checking it!
