Hi everyone, Thanks @mpolito1969 for taking the initiative to already start a topic. Much appreciated! Apologies that I was a bit slow on publishing the release notes yesterday. Here are the details: Software Version: 8901.4.A.0016.6-gms-f0c20986 Security Patch Level: 5th of August, 2022 Update…

@MikeSixPointEight : I also experience that the performance is significantly worse since I installed that update. And not just a little bit. The phone literally hangs for a few seconds once a day or so. With the Version before that the performance was better than ever, so I hope they can also fix th…

Hi There’s a generic response to that as your problem is generic, why it hangs in your case could do with some detail and then send that to Fairphone. There’s no way Fairphone can assess you rsituation it’s way to vague.

It was not a request, I just confirmed that there is a problem with this version. A few users in this thread also pointed out the performance issues as did Mike. So I only want to let him know that it is most likely a problem with this update.

Hi I don’t seem to have such a problem, so maybe there is an app conflict or drain that I don’t use. Could it be an SD card that is formatted as Internal. SD cards are slower that main-board memory and if the phone is accessing that frequently then a delay would be expected.

[image] Alain_Guillet: There is a workaround for the too long period Fairphone needs to solve this problem : a cable. It requires more time but it is more reliable than Bluetooth or WiFi. No, it isn’t. Most of the bt-functions cannot be duplicated by a cable.

[image] anon9989719: There’s no way Fairphone can assess you rsituation it’s way to vague Of course the description is vague. We are not scientists on a lab, we are describing what we observe and collect that.

[image] xardasjhh: I also experience that the performance is significantly worse That’s what I’d call vague . . . no indication of when the performance seems worse nor any action to assess why that maybe.

Ok just because you asked for it. It is the same lagginess that you have, when the memory of a phone gets old and is slow. The apps are optimized for better hardware and your memory runs out. And it is totally random. You get a call and it takes three seconds until the caller is shown and you can ta…

Amoun, we’re supposed to be Fairphone users not engineers of the verification and validation team. It’s up to Fairphone not to break customers phones first of all and when it happens to ask questions and reproduce the problem. Asking customers to turn into Fairphone engineers is a nice idea but us…
