Ahh, installing the security patch bricked the phone. Only grey static when I turn it on. Can anything be done?
You’ll also notice that Adaptive Brightness can be used without the screen going totally black (you’ll remember that was the main reason why lower brightness was withdrawn last year).

The update was just now available for me and I have to say:
Yes, it is much better now! The gap is still a bit larger than on the other side, but much better than it was before.
Thank you for this fix, also thank you that the brightness can be lower now!

I posted a quick & dirty translation of the six changes listed in German elsewhere, so i guess it doesn’t hurt to post it here, too. Making this reply a Wiki right away.
Änderungen durch das heutige Update:
(meine spontane und verkürzte Laien-Übersetzung)
- automatische Helligkeit wurde verbessert, niedrigere Helligkeiten sind nun möglich – entsprechend Wünschen aus der Community
- die Standard-Kamera-App ermöglicht nun wieder das direkte Speichern der Fotos auf einer SD-Karte (auch wenn diese als “mobiler Speicher” eingerichtet ist)
- eine fälschliche Meldung “SD-Karte voll” in der Standard-Kamera-App, obwohl als Speicherort gar keine solche Karte eingestellt war, wurde abgestellt
- ein mehrfaches Einblenden des WLAN-Symbols in der Statusleiste wurde abgestellt
- ein unschöner Leerraum ganz links in der Statusleiste, wenn die Anzeige des Telekom-Anbieter dort deaktiviert war, wurde entfernt/reduziert
- Netzwerkkompatibilität mit mehreren Anbietern wurde verbessert

The new minimum brightness is still much brighter than before the “reroll”. Still can’t use my phone at night without a screen dimmer app (and with an active screen dimmer I’m not able to take proper screenshots). Back in spring last year when I got my FP3 the minimum brightness was perfectly dark.
I’m so sad this doesn’t get fixed and the minimum brightness lowered more 
I don’t remember it being any darker than it is now, I have to keep turning it up as the evening comes on. ??

Too bad, after the last two system updates worked without problems after the notification that an update is available, now with the 4.A.0013.4 again the installation problem occurs that it does not want to install the update with 2 sim cards Vodafone and O2 Germany
Screen recording seem to be avaialable with this update as well

Missing from the release notes:
Android 11’s “Screen Recorder” is now available. You can add it to the quick menu via the pencil icon.

Installed it this morning and now mobile internet isn’t working for me anymore . (using Vodafone in Germany)
Please read above, either just reboot or do a APN resetting to default before reboot
So still no fix for the Fritz box wifi5 5Ghz issue?

What exactly is your problem with the Fritzbox. I have a 7530 with no problems and I’m not sure there was any intended fix regarding the Fritzbox?
Have you contacted support and are they looking into it ?
