I’ve got an Amazfit Helio smart ring and there is no way to make it work normally with my brand new FP4, reinstalled from scratch because my old FP4 has been bricked by an OS update.
I’m using the official app with it, Zepp, and configured it to run in background all the time with all the required permissions given to it.
I’ve also got an Amazfit GTR 3 Pro which instead always works flawlessly.
In short, the problems with either my old and new FP4 can be summarized into one sentence: the connection with the ring is unreliable, the app tries to connect with it, sometimes it works, but usually it requires to switch Bluetooth off and on again, and most of the time it doesn’t work with that as well, so I have to either put the ring on the charger or reboot the phone.
I’ve also tried by removing the permission to run in background for Zepp, but the issue has only got worst.
Because of the bricking of my old FP4, I had to resurrect my even older OnePlus 5T (2017, Android 10) and I had absolutely no problem with either Zepp or the ring with it.
I’ve created this topic because I couldn’t find one specific to this issue, but I see there are a lot of them about problems with Bluetooth.
The ring implements BLE v5.0.
