Sending a text to a group: selecting the group in the recipient field

I want to send group texts but after I’ve created a group I cannot select it from contacts in messages in order to send a text. Any ideas? Thank you.

Afaik it’s impossible to send group text with the standard Android texting app. Contact groups are something different.
You can try an alternative app like QKSMS though.
