Continuing the discussion from Selfie-stick experiences?.
First of all, I don’t own a selfie stick, and I wouldn’t want one. I can understand, however, that people want to be in a picture for two reasons:
- You can download landscape and sights photos without yourself relatively easily through the internet and in most cases they are of better quality than the personal photos.
- Family members and friends are mostly interested in the people on the photos. They get bored easily when you show them your photos and you yourself are not in them.
I like to travel with friends and in the most important places we ask locals or other tourist if they could take a photo from us. It’s a nice memory because you are all on the photo and in the background there is some sight or nice landscape.
