Howto repair the microphone inside the bottom module

As fairphone angel (in Berlin) I have a lot of support cases with nonfunctional microphones in the bottom modul. A lot of users have minimum the 2nd, often the 3rd bottom module. Mostly easily changed by Fairphone support in warranty. But there is a lot of waste (I collect old faulty modules and send them back for recycling). FP2 bottom modules repairs by Fairphone - Refurbished modules

From the bottom module page: For all Fairphone 2 users whose device is not covered by the manufacturing warranty anymore, we are also able to offer you a refurbished replacement bottom module via a repair by us, however we don’t cover these costs. I didn’t remember having seen this before, the web archive tells me it wasn’t here on Oct 7th, but Google Webcache tells me it was here 4 days ago. Has anyone contacted Fairphone and actually asked for this repair?

FP2 Bottom Module: Repair broken µUSB port and or mic

Hey, just desoldered my microphone from the bottom module. the (very thin) pcb is glued into the plastic case of the module. But with a heatgun the glue softened and you can pull it out. After that I put my heatgun on 380°C and desoldered the mic. I coverd the surrounding parts with kapton tape. But I ripped one half of one solderpad off the pcd(see picture, top right pad). The trace from that pad seemed to be connected to a via next to it. [image] That was written on my mic: S1263 277…
