Screen randomly turns on

Every now and then, when my fairphone 4 is laying on my desk or table in standby , the screen randomly turns on. It will stay turned on for a few minutes and after that it will dim itself again.

This ends up being quite a lot of passive and unnecessary battery drain. Plus it’s just super distracting to have the screen light up for no reason.

Does anyone have any idea what the cause of this might be, or what I can try to do to fix it?

Notifications? There’s an option to not let them wake up the screen.

I’m not receiving any new notifications when the screen lights up. At least not any notifications that are shown on the standby screen.

Hmm, then I’d try safe mode for a while.
